Wine Baskets for Your Friends

Without regard to the cause, it should be marvelous if you experience one of wine baskets as a gift.

Generally wine baskets are delivered to the receiver at his/her home or at work.

A diversity of gift wine baskets exists. Some of them may include fruits, others might contain dry or canned foods or nonfood items, or the basket may include a combination of such items. Gourmet gift baskets typically contain exotic fruits and high quality cheese, as well as other valuable products.

Wine bears a colorful history dating back hundreds of years. It is commonly made from one or more varieties of the species of grape, such as Merlot, Pinot Noir, Gamay, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon. If only one of those grape varieties is used as the main grape, the result is a varietal wine. Blended wines are not thought to be inferior to varietal wines. Some of the world’s most expensive wines, from Bordeaux and the Rhone Valley regions, are blended from different grape varieties.

Common fruit items in wine baskets include avocados, apples, artichokes, bananas, grapes, papayas, lychees, mangoes, oranges, lemons, pomegranates, pineapples, strawberries.

Canned and dry foods may include cheese, chocolate, bread, coffee, crackers, honey, jam, marmalade, cookies, soft drinks, tea, nuts.

Nonfood items commonly include cash, greeting cards, fresh flowers, plants, stuffed animals.
